I’m Chrisna C. Zitnyar — a brand filmmaker, creative director, and visual storyteller with 20 years of experience in video production and branding.
Visual storytelling is my passion. It’s how I connect people to emotion, culture, and identity. Whether I’m directing fashion campaigns, fitness visuals, lifestyle content, or cinematic brand stories, I believe every frame has the power to speak — not just look good.
Even at the height of my corporate career — serving as Director of Marketing for a national brand — my heart always belonged to visual storytelling. Despite the success, I felt called to something more creative, personal, and purpose-driven. That calling led me to launch Halo-Halo Studio: a boutique video production company built to tell layered, emotionally resonant stories through bold, cinematic visuals.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked across agency, in-house, and freelance roles — leading creative teams and film crews, and shaping stories across a wide range of visual platforms. I’ve also served as a producer and editor, bringing life to original programming like ONLY-IN NEW ORLEANS and EAT PLAY STAY for the VeryLocal Streaming App, where I captured the heart of food, culture, and community through video.
My Filipino heritage is deeply important to me. It’s shaped the way I see and tell stories — rich with layers, color, movement, and meaning. That cultural influence inspired the name Halo-Halo, drawn from the beloved Filipino dessert that means “mix-mix.” Just like the dessert, my work blends style, soul, and storytelling into visuals that are intentional, expressive, and visually delicious.
Over the years, I’ve helped brands reach success through strategic storytelling and creative leadership. I’ve earned recognition including the Platinum and Gold MarCom Awards for Women's Connect Magazine, and played a key creative role in launching Mighty Dog Roofing, which earned Entrepreneur’s #1 New & Emerging Brand and ranked among the fastest-growing franchises in the U.S.
When I’m not directing, editing, or collaborating with clients, I’m spending time with my husband and our beautiful baby girl — often working on a DIY project and drawing inspiration from everyday life, food, music, and movement.
